The LuxMed® Ethylene Oxide (ETO) Sterilizer is designed for sterilizing compatible medical devices and equipment that cannot withstand conventional high-temperature steam sterilization. Ethylene oxide gas is used in a controlled sterilization process to treat suitable heat- and moisture-sensitive products. ETO sterilization may be used for compatible devices with complex geometries, narrow lumens or packaging systems validated for the process. The selected sterilizer configuration and validated cycle must be appropriate for the specific medical device, packaging materials and required sterilization outcome.
